Stainless Steel Downdraft for Rec Teq RT460, RT680, RT700, RT1250
DOES NOT FIT: RT1070, RTB380, RT590, RT340, RT2500 BFG, RTG450, RTCMG, RTTMG
RT460, RT680, RT700, RT1250 - If you have the UPPER SHELF with the BRACKET on the Chimney Side, either remove the BRACKET or cut a slit for the Downdraft to fit over it!

- In staying with the design of your RecTeq,

- (2) longer Stainless Steel Button Head cap screws,
these match the other cap screws on your RecTeq,
for the Downdraft to the Chimney Flange
- (4) Stainless Steel Washers
- (2) Steel Spacers, to provide strength
- (2) KEPS brand Stainless Steel Toothed Locking Nuts
No permanent modification to the grill

worth it. just get one.

This thing saves a TON of pellets. The grill heats up much faster and keeps the heat more constant and steady. Smoke ring is much better with it and I get a good smoky flavor on low heat. I tried the REC TEC with it and without and I have no doubt this is well worth having.

Allows you to smoke your meats in less time while retaining heat and more smoke. I now have them on both of my RT 680's.

I am glad I got the downdraft for my Rec Tec 680. Great craftsmanship on the stainless. I could tell a difference on my first cook. The pit definitely retains more smoke. Every time I open my lid, a large cloud of smoke rolls out, just like in my stick burner. I would definitely recommend this upgrade. Don was extremely nice and patiently answered all my questions. Install took less than five minutes. It is easier if you have and extra set of hand hold the smokestsck for you. Beginner level project. I have no regrets with this purchase.

Quality is great, temps were wildly different with the downdraft installed.

I'll start with the good. The quality is great. Solid stainless steel. Perfect fit, easy install, and looked great. Unfortunately...
In my new Rec Tec 680 this downdraft gave me 30-50º temperature swings between smoker set point and the actual grate level temps. I ran several tests with and without food in the smoker, and with and without the Godke Downdraft installed. I had the smoker set at 225º, and my temperate monitoring was done with the RT680 probe as well as two ambient temp probes connected to a Fireboard. The left side of the grill ran around 10º cooler than the set point, and the right side where the downdraft was installed ran between 30-50º higher than the 225º set point.
