Don Godke’s Downdraft
I am very pleased with Don Godke’s Downdraft. I purchased the Downdraft for my Green Mountain Daniel Boone pellet grill. The Downdraft came with easy to follow instructions and online videos to help you install perfectly. The Downdraft is a must have for consistent temperatures, improved flavor, and will help reduce pellet consumption.
After installing and cooking chicken with the Downdraft, my wife asked me what I did differently to make the chicken taste so good!
My Downdraft curiosity (and Don) also helped me find two other BBQ ‘Mod Masters,’ Joe Fiorino and Doug Fisher.

2. Grill grates - Joe’s Grill Grates (Joe Fiorino)
3. Upper grate & brackets - Doug Fisher

I ordered a DG Downdraft for my DB and have noticed a significant reduction in pellet use and time taken to get to temp, it also holds much more smoke in the chamber during the cook to impart more smoky goodness to your meat.
I thoroughly recommend that if you own a DB or JB to get one of these additions.

Was want more smoke for my GMG Daniel Boone and was about to purchase a smoke tube but a friend showed me the Don Godke Downdrafts. So I pulled the trigger and bought one. Works just like it says

Taking a little while to figure out time and temp with the Downdraft, but I can see a noticeable positive difference!
Saves pellets!
Easy install!

I have only cooked with it once. But my rig came up to even temp much faster, held a steadier heat more evenly, and consumed almost no pellets. I love this down draft.

After a long while to consider ordering Dons Downdraft, I did and it is everything it said it was! Very easy installation and ease of use with no holes to drill and he supplies the longer bolts. Thanks Don!
